In the Washington Metro area there is a Regional Sales Contract form which is widely used as the format for buying and selling homes. This form has been revised and the revision is being released effective January 1, 2012. Any time you have changes you have extra opportunity to exercise caution. During this period  of time real estate agents are being trained on all the revisions and supplied with the proper updates so they can be ready to meet your needs as of January 1, 2012. Everyone using these forms should be particulary careful to observe that the valid revised Regional Sales Contract is used after January 1, 2012.
