St. Albans School

Founded in 1909 and named after someone thought to be the first British martyr, St. Albans sits atop Mount Saint Alban along with the Washington National Cathedral, the National Cathedral School for Girls and Beauvoir Elementary. St. Albans is a school for boys which runs from Form C (4th grade) through Form VI (12 grade) and is divided in the Lower and Upper School. Originally the school was founded to educate the choirboys at the Cathedral. St. Albans is an Episcopal School and students are required to attend chapel services several days during the week, although the school welcomes students of all beliefs. There are 4 classroom buildings, 2 gymns, 6 science labs, a theater, 3 art studios, a dormitory, a computer facility, tennis courts and a ballfield.
