Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How long do buyer’s markets typically last?

A. You need a crystal ball to predict. The real estate market goes up and down like the stock market depending on a tremendously diverse series of factors. Recent history shows that after a sustained seller's market the area went into a buyer's market in the 1989-90 time frame and remained until the mid 90's. Perhaps five years or so. Then, after a period of transition, an extreme seller's market started up which lasted until the end of 2005. Maybe seven years or longer. The future? It's anybody's guess.
