Martin's Additions
Martin's Addition's lies out Brookville Road on the east side and next to Chevy Chase Section 3. Martin's Additions had a population of 875 in the 2000 census. Rosemary Hills Elementary and Chevy Chase Elementary, Westland Middle School and Bethesda-Chevy Chase High Schools are the public school cluster for Martin's Additions. Martin's Additions was incorporated as a village in 1985. The village was named after Harry M. Martin's purchase of parcels of land from the Chevy Chase Land Company in the late 19th century. Martin was a Washington businessman and real estate investor. These purchased properties were known as "Martin's Additions to Chevy Chase". In 1906 the residents of Harry Martin's Additions to Chevy Chase formed the Chevy Chase Home Association. Today, there is a Village Council and a Village Manager. The Town Hall is located at 7013-B Brookville Road, Chevy Chase, MD 20815.
