Chevy Chase MD Real Estate
Many of the various sections of Chevy Chase were begun as villages with all the various village government functions and later incorporated. This was true of Chevy Chase Section 3 and 5. There is also the Town of Chevy Chase (Section 4) and Chevy Chase Village. Other sections are Martin's Additions, Rollingwood and Dunlop Hills. Over on the other side of Chevy Chase Country Club and Wisconsin Avenue lies Somerset.
The main road which runs north-south through Chevy Chase is Connecticut Avenue. A sidespur of the neighborhood runs out to the west where Kenwood lies between River Road, Goldsboro Road and Bradley Boulevard. Continuing up Connecticut Avenue from Chevy Chase Circle, one passes Chevy Chase Village and a few of the various sections and then Chevy Chase Country Club which lies just before Bradley Lane. Bradley Lane runs down along the north edge of Chevy Chase Country Club and intersects Wisconsin Avenue. To the right of Connecticut Avenue Bradley Lane runs down to Brookevile Road wending its way toward Rock Creek Park. Brookeville Road has a little outpost of commerecial activity alongside Chevy Chase Section 3 and nearby neighborhoods including a grocery store and La Ferme french restaurant.
Farther out Connecticut Avenue from Bradley Lane one passes Chevy Chase Section 4, also known as the Town of Chevy Chase on the left, just inside East West Highway. Crossing East West Highway, one passes Columbia Country Club, followed by a retirement center and commercial buildings on both sides of the road with Chevy Chase Lake Shopping Center on the right. Passing Jones Bridge Road one comes to North Chevy Chase to the left and right inside the Beltway. To the left Jones Bridge Road takes you to the former National Naval Medical Center and current Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
Farther out after North Chevy Chase one comes to Kensington and to the east of Chevy Chase is Silver Spring.
